Setanta Sports had its highest audience ever for a GAA match when more than quarter of a million people tuned in to the celebrations for the 125th anniversary of the GAA.
Some 284,000 tuned in to the broadcast of the GAA spectacle on Saturday night, which saw the game between Dublin and Tyrone followed by a spectacular fireworks display.
While Setanta said it was unable to separate how many viewers tuned in for the fireworks and how many tuned in for the whole match, they received a massive audience with a peak number of 177,000.
The figures dwarfed those for the 2007 game between the two teams -- which had been Setanta Sports' most successful GAA match until now.
